Hampton Court

Lovely. Loads of history. Loads of antique rooms, alleways and nooks and crannies. Beautiful gardens. An amazing maze. Here's the proof.

  1. Great photos! You have been out and about by the look of things. I had a friend once who used to say "Hampton Court? No, its just the way I'm walking"...sad git.

  2. I visited Hampton Court with my junior school so my memories are a little vague but it is certainly very photogenic. I seem to remember a fairly long driveway but I may be wrong.

My first thought on seeing the picture of Gustavo in the alleyway was what a terrific location for a period "Doctor Who" shoot! I know... don't groan! Anyway, you certainly have your hands full of wood in that other photo, Simon!!

  3. Yes, just what were you doing with that very pointy small tree, OC?

  4. Amanda - Thanks! Now, call me thick but I don't get the joke. Explanation please? (!)

Tim - There is quite a long "approach" to the gate of the court yes - with stable buildings on one side.

No I think you are absolutely right, Hampton Ct would make an excellent setting for a "period" episode of DW! There's lots of back passages (no comments please) and rooms tucked away - a real labyrinth and great for an adventure! Talking of labyrinths, how about bringing back the Nimon and making them the monsters of Hampton Ct?! Erm...perhaps.

    Hands full of wood?!

Steve - I was actually checking that the tree was properly rooted in the ground, was healthy and its leaves were lustrous...yeah yeah yeah. Whatever.
